  A lot of very good lookout points, but if you are going in the winter for a hike through the snow, I suggest bringing as light a load as possible. No 60L backpacks or whatever. The trail is best enjoyed when you have no packs on. One trail in particular, the main, Bruce trail, has a lot of change in elevation, so you'll be grateful for carrying as little as possible.

  Came to lion's head specifically to visit this park. Was not disappointed. There is an associated free parking lot which is super convenient. The hike has many variations in length and difficulty for all levels of hikers and there are also spots for camping. The adjoining towns of Wiarton and Lion's Head have sufficient restaurants, grocery stores and motels (well priced and close by, you may not have to pre book in the off season) I hiked up the standard trail to the lions head look out point and found the trail to be full of sights and rewarding once you reach the lookout point.

  Outstanding views of Georgian Bay. Really great hiking. Check out the trilliums in the spring and the colours in the fall. But the water views are wonderful.
